Public Access Printers
Bender Library has three, high volume black and white printers and one color printer located on the Lower Level. Every computer in the library prints to these printers. There is also a Quick Print Station downstairs with six computers, where patrons can use a computer to send print jobs. The Library's Graduate Research Center, accessible from both the SIS terrace level and the Library's Lower Level, also has a high volume printer/scanner. If you receive a replacement AU ID card, please alert Print Center staff or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your 7-digit AU ID # and the two digits printed right after.
Printing from Papercut
Beginning in Spring 2018, students will use a cloud-based system to print, whether printing from library computers or laptops. The new system does not require installation of printing software. Please follow OIT’s instructions on how to upload documents for printing.
Guest printing is currently unavailable under the new printing system. We hope to find a solution soon. In the meantime, guests should visit the Information Desk by the library entrance or the Print Center on the lower level for assistance.
The library printers only accept EagleBucks and Print Funds. Students receive $25.00 per semester for printing needs. Print Funds no longer appear on Eaglebucks.com. To check your balance, please visit printing.american.edu and click the “Summary” in the upper right-hand corner. If you did not receive Print Funds, please contact us.
- Black and White Printing: 10 cents per page
- Color Printing: 1 dollar per page
All library printers default to double-sided printing to conserve paper.
