She holds a M.S. in Corporate and Organizational Communication and a B.S. in History from Northeastern University.

Anna Beatty

Anna BeattyAdvisement Specialist

Anna Beatty advises students in the Washington Semester Program and the Washington Semester Summer Internship Program in course registration and immigration processes. She holds a B.A. in German Studies from American University. After completing her studies, she went on to work with international and local college students in Heidelberg, Germany, before returning to Washington, DC, in 2015.

Donelle Broskow

Donelle BroskowAssistant Dean for Undergraduate & Post-Baccalaureate Programs

Donelle Broskow is the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate & Post-Baccalaureate Programs. She leads the academic internship and experiential programs for the school; this includes the renowned Washington Semester Program, Washington Mentorship, Graduate Professional Studies, Mentorship Programs in Greece and England, the AU Gap Program, and custom programs. She attended the University of Kansas and has an MS in Higher Education Administration and BA in History.

Donna Chapman Williams manages student services which includes housing, meal plans, student IDs, orientation, student accounts, financial aid, student conduct and conflict, student health services (health insurance and immunizations), and metro passes. A graduate of American University's School of Public Affairs, Donna welcomes Washington Semester Program students as guests at AU.

Diane Lowenthal

Diane LowenthalSenior Associate Dean

Diane Lowenthal is the Senior Associate Dean in SPExS. She came to AU in 2000 to teach American Politics Seminars and supervise Research Projects for the Washington Semester Program. Prior to joining AU, Dr. Lowenthal taught American Politics courses (including Campaigns and Elections, Political Behavior, Political Psychology, and Women and Politics) at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. Dr. Lowenthal earned a PhD in Social and Decision Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University.

Amy Morrill Bijeau

Amy Morrill Bijeau Associate Director of Career and Internship Advising

Amy Morrill Bijeau has worked in higher education administration and experiential learning for approximately 20 years. As the Associate Director of Internships and Career Development, she provides ongoing guidance regarding internship best practices and enjoys leveraging technology to support students. Amy has a MEd in Counseling and Higher Education Administration from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in French and Religion from Wake Forest University.

A graduate of Agnes Scott College, Amy is currently pursuing a master's degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution at American University's School of International Service.
